Welcome My Lovelies!

For those of you who are new, welcome! I know this is probably a little confusing as to where you landed, so let me explain what’s going on.

I am a mom of two special needs children. My oldest has given me a run for my money plus an arm and a leg. Multiple hospital trips, multiple stitches and surgeries, trouble with school, the list goes on. I struggled for the longest time, blaming myself, wondering what more I could do to help, how much more research it would take to fully understand what was happening.

Multiple times I have wanted to find somebody I could relate to, who wouldn’t judge. Somebody who could give me advice and give me tips and tricks to try. I would finally be able to stop pretending everything was falling apart. But the reality of it is, there is not a lot of people that I could be truly honest and say, “No, I’m not okay. I’m ready to beat myself in the head and wake up when this is all finally over.”

I tried Facebook support groups, getting together with parents, I’ve tried going to birthday parties and trying to connect, but the only thing I ever found, was my own insecurities. I never could truly be honest and tell people what was going on.

So here we are! I have created a spot just for parents. No spotlight shining on you when you are trying to share, no eyeballs staring through your soul-ready to tell you what a screw up you are.
